My Event Flier

For my event advertisement, I came up with the idea of a fall festival notably dubbed the "2010 Fall Spookfest." I used a bold font (Showcard Gothic) for the name and most important information (who, what, when, where) and a smaller, less bold font (Goudy Old Style) for the details. I decided to stick to black and white, as an event advertisement would presumably be printed many, many times and black and white is cheapest at printers.

I used photoshop to create my main fall image of pumpkins, leaves, and the scarecrow. It began as multiple pictures, but by using the magic wand tool, I merged the images into one so that it would look more cohesive within the advertisement. I also used photoshop to convert the aerial view of a corn maze into black and white. Upon completing the advertisement, I noticed that the bottom right corner had too much white space, so I found a small jack-o-lantern to balance the advertisement and fill some of that space.
